ADF Personnel Meet US President

Canberra — 23 October 2003

Members of the ADF contingent that served in the Middle East as part of the international coalition to disarm Iraq today met President Bush during his scheduled visit to the Australian War Memorial.

Over 30 personnel representing Australian soldiers, sailors and airmen and women that deployed in support of coalition operations attended the short private ceremony.

About 2000 Australian sailors, soldiers, airmen and women took part in the operation.
